The OpenELS project experimented with the provision of geospatial Linked Data in the context of European-wide data dissemination. The four participating countries (Spain, Finland, Norway, The Netherlands) successfully transformed two source datasets according to INSPIRE themes, namely Administrative Units and Geographical Names, into LD and deployed the necessary infrastructure for data publishing. The added value of publishing INSPIRE data as Linked Data is showcased in the Data Story. The current repository contains Administrative Units (AU) and Geographical Names(GN) of the Netherlands. This work would not have been possible without the support from EuroGeographics and the European Union’s Connecting Europe Facility for the support.
